The LEED Platinum certification for environmentally friendly and sustainable buildings is awarded to the seven-storey Mechanica office building, which was built as part of an office and residential complex on the site of the former Waltrovka building in Prague 5 in 2017. The lighting control project was developed in close cooperation with Honeywell from the very beginning.
This building serves as the headquarters of Johnson & Johnson. The combination of Honeywell and Helvar systems meets the exacting requirements of Johnson & Johnson to guarantee the same standard of operation and energy savings that they are accustomed to in their offices around the world. Helvar is installed here for complete lighting control of more than 3,500 luminaires in combination with multisensors present throughout all office areas, meeting rooms and corridors. On the seventh floor, Helvar also handles the comprehensive control of outdoor blinds. Mode switching, user visualization, luminaire control from AV equipment and time programs are all handled by Honeywell through Helvar integration into HAWK AX. Installed touchscreens on each floor provide entry, locking, unlocking of office spaces with preset functions to control lighting, cooling, heating, ventilation, shading. User visualization of lighting throughout the building is part of ARENA AX, Honeywell.
