Aula Gong is a modern multifunctional centre built into the original 1924 gasworks in the lower Vítkovice area of Ostrava, designed by arch. Josef Pleskot. The multifunctional Aula Gong was realized in 2011–2012 and became one of the five projects that won the title of Building of the Year 2013. In 2014, it was ranked among the TOP 10 buildings in the world at EXPO REAL Munich.
The dimming control of the luminaires is implemented using DALI protocol. In the gas house there are 19 DALI Routers 910 from Helvar in different cabinets, which are interconnected by Ethernet bus. The control of the entire system is possible either from 35 control push-button panels located in the respective rooms variously around the building or from a computer located in the overhead. This computer is equipped with powerful software with the possibility of user visualization (Touch studio). From this one location, all lighting in the building can be set and controlled.
